Il Tempo delle Ville Venete: real life stories

A DOCUMENTARY

The Association for Venetian Villas, with the collaboration and support of The Regional Institute for Venetian Villas (IRVV), is pleased to announce the release of a Il tempo delle Ville Venete: real life stories, a documentary featuring interviews with Villa owners recorded during La Giornata delle Ville Venete on Tour event. The film’s heartfelt and sincere content earned it a screening at the prestigious Venice Film Festival. 

The screening took place at the Spazio Regione del Veneto / Veneto Film Commission – Hotel Excelsior, on Sunday 1st September at 5:00 pm.

The documentary’s title – Il Tempo delle Ville Venete: real life stories (The Life and Times of the Venetian Villas) – embodies the essence of what we wish to share. Not just history–but stories. Not just art, but real life carried forward by the Venetian Villas’ owners who express clearly what the true essence of a Venetian Villa is today. 

During the Film Festival we explored this topic with the Director of the Film Commission, Jacopo Chessa; the President of IRVV, Amerigo Restucci, and the President of the Association for Venetian Villas, Isabella Collalto de Croÿ. The meeting was moderated by Barbara Codogno, journalist and press officer.
